Mr. Taylor co-founded StoneGate Senior Care and Generations Senior Living (“The Company”) in 2001. Under his leadership The Company has grown from managing 6 skilled nursing facilities and 1 assisted living facility in 2001 to currently managing 30 seniors housing properties that include 3,654 skilled nursing beds and 147 assisted living units. The Company has an aggressive new facility development program and currently has 8 new locations in its construction / development pipeline that will add an additional 1,565 licensed skilled nursing beds and assisted living units to its portfolio. The Company has opened 20 new seniors housing developments from 2001 through mid 2008. Since the inception of The Company, Mr. Taylor has obtained commitments for capital in excess of $240MM. Mr. Taylor also serves as the managing partner for 3 of The Company’s affiliates which are Rehab Pro, Lifetime Wellness and SG Development. Prior to his founding The Company, Mr. Taylor was also a founder of TORCH Health Care, Inc. and served as TORCH’s President, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer from 1992 through August of 1999. He has over 25 years of experience in real estate development, construction and management, of which the majority has been in the health care industry. Under Mr. Taylor’s leadership, TORCH raised over $130MM in private equity and debt financing. Inc. Magazine recognized TORCH in 1998 as one of the fastest growing, privately held, companies in United States. TORCH was ranked #46 of 500 companies ranked by Inc having achieved a 3,700% increase in revenues from 1993 through 1997. Mr. Taylor was instrumental in the acquisition or development, construction and management of the 18 assisted living facilities containing over 1,300 units owned and operated by TORCH.
Mr. Taylor has been licensed as a nursing home administrator in the state of Oklahoma and has been certified as a residential care facility administrator in Oklahoma. He was a founding member of OKALA (the Oklahoma Chapter of the Assisted Living Federation of America) and has served as its Vice-Chairman and Director. Mr. Taylor also served as a Director of TALA (the Texas Chapter of the Assisted Living Federation of America). Mr. Taylor has served on the Public Policy Action Team of the Assisted Living Federation of America. Mr. Taylor attended Cameron University in Lawton, Oklahoma and Abilene Christian University in Abilene, Texas where he studied accounting, finance and economics.
